Have you noticed this trend? The preference for light weighted gadgets does not apply to watches alone. We prefer feather light mobiles, iPods that weigh less than 50 grams but we like to wear a stainless steel watch. Doesn’t it strike odd?
Another oddity is, even though we like to feel the weight of the watch on our wrist, we use only (mostly) leather or rubber watch strap. Inexplicably, we don’t like to use a steel watch strap which was in vogue during our grandfather’s time.
I recently saw in a fashion magazine a lovely looking stainless steel watch with golden hands. It is made by Teno, not so well known in India but people here are aware of this watch brand.
