Is It Time For a Tummy Tuck?

The winter is coming to an end. This means that it's time again  to stop indulging in care free eating and consider Tummy Tuck. You know your mirror never lies.

If the shape of your abdomen and hips make you want to hide under a heavy winter sweater all year long, you may want to consider an Abdominoplasty, more commonly known as a “Tummy Tuck.”

For years, you’ve probably tried to shake off that weight that made its unwelcome appearance after childbirth or the last days of your twenties. You may have found that no matter how much you diet or exercise, those pounds are here to stay. But with the advances of cosmetic surgery, you can be free of that stubborn weight. In today’s blog I will give a brief explanation of how an Abdominoplasty is performed and its results.

An Abdominoplasty surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall to give the stomach a firmer look. In addition, any laxity of the abdominal wall may be surgically corrected during this procedure.

The key cosmetic surgical principle is to use the deep connective tissue layer when planning and performing the actual tummy tuck. Using this superficial facial system to re-suspend the soft tissues, allows the patient to achieve a more visually pleasing and long-lasting result.

A general Abdominoplasty typically follows these steps:
 1. An incision is made from hip to hip just above the pubic area.
 2. Another incision is made to free the navel from the surrounding skin.
 3. The skin is separated from the abdominal wall to expose the muscles and fascia to be tightened. The muscle fascia wall is stretched and tightened with stitches.
 4. Liposuction is often used to refine the transition zones of the abdominal sculpture.
 5. A dressing and sometimes a compression garment are applied and any excess fluid from the site is drained.

In this practice we also perform an extended abdominoplasty. In such a procedure, the results can be greatly improved by extending the abdominoplasty around the waist like a belt. The final result with this technique is a dramatically flat abdomen with a significantly better-defined waistline. Also, the procedure can simultaneously achieve a lateral thigh lift and a buttock lift while removing hip and lower back fat.

Multaq might cause liver damage!

Multaq lawsuit free legal evaluation is offered by O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers. It seems today is not my day. Since morning, I stumbled onto three different cases of personal injury due to medicines to cure depression and irregular heart beat.

Multaq received wide support among people with cardiac arrhythmias when it was approved by FDA and released in the market in 2009.

After two years, reports of harmful side effects leading to liver damage trickled in. FDA promptly alerted doctors of this issue.  When people who complained of severe stomach pain, some of them were found to have taken Multaq.

Of late, liver problems are found to have associated with medicines meant to treat other ailments. Two months ago, my aunt suddenly complained severe stomach pain that eventually ended in surgery. She was a victim of powerful antibiotics given after her eyesight correction surgery.

Such rare cases of drug failure are happening more frequently these days-eh?
